Design
By taking a user-centred approach to design we ensure that we talk to the intended audience in their language about the things they care about.
Combined with a clear understanding of our clients’ brand this enables us to design great looking sites which reflect these brand values and the needs of the user.
And depending on your requirements, we’re happy to provide anything from full concepts with brand development to templates for a content management system.
Copy
Having a well designed and built site is only half the battle. After working hard to drive users to your site the content they find there must then be compelling and clear enough to hold their attention.
Our copywriters are skilled at adopting a range of tones and styles to best communicate your messages. So, whether you’re looking for well optimised factual long copy or punchy and effective sales messages, we have the talent and versatility to meet your needs.
Build
We’re passionate about following industry best practice when it comes to building a site (or intranet, extranet, mobile site or iTV interface for that matter!). As a result you’ll find all our sites are built using standards-based HTML, CSS & JavaScript, are accessible, optimised for quick download, and are easily found in search engines.
We also produce content in a wide range of interactive formats, such as Flash and video, and we apply exactly the same high build standards to these too.
Technical
Once we’ve designed and built a site our role doesn’t stop there; we’re happy to sort out the technical plumbing in a number of ways.
In the past we’ve worked directly with the in-house teams of clients such as Halifax, ASDA and OTTO, where they’ve dealt with the code and we’ve handled the user interface integration.
However, we’re equally happy to get our hands dirty and deliver the technology side of a project ourselves, be that implementing a content management system or building some bespoke functionality.
Whatever your needs, our technical specialists are familiar with a wide range of languages, frameworks and software, and are knowledgeable and flexible enough to find a solution to any challenge you throw at them.
Consultancy
This is our term for all aspects of a project that help to make it not only look great but work well. This includes elements such as usability, information architecture, process modelling and Search Engine Optimisation.
There’s no substitute for experience, and you can benefit from the knowledge we’ve built up over years of doing what we do.
For example: we’re old hands at designing customer journeys for ecommerce and financial services sites. Our experience has taught us that the ease with which users can fill out a form online can make a surprisingly big difference to the bottom line. This is just one example of where our insight can add real value to your digital offering.
Our production team can also deliver sitemaps and content maps, full site wireframes, working prototypes, and style guides and we can arrange for usability and accessibility reviews or full user testing to be carried out if required.
