Challenge
Lakeland is known as the home of creative kitchenware, but when they decided to expand their offering to include garden furniture and accessories, we were tasked with incorporating this new range into their existing ecommerce platform.
Solution
We seamlessly integrated the Garden section into the site navigation and back-end system, and in response to the need to highlight this new addition to visitors, we developed garden-themed promotional banners to appear across www.lakeland.co.uk and raise awareness amongst customers.
As one of the objectives of the project was to inspire visitors to browse and shop other parts of the Lakeland range, we incorporated – for the first time on the site – relevant product recommendations as a way of encouraging users to explore the site further.
Results
The Lakeland team was delighted with the integration of this new section and soon after launch, 'Garden' was one of the highest performing categories, which proves the huge success of the new category and the way it was presented online.
And due to its success Lakeland has decided to roll this category out each season in the future.
